Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science
Prior experience or knowledge as a physical therapy technician

Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome.
Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff.
Demonstrate correct activity form or function.
Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.
