About The Position

Seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Tech for a hospital-based rehabilitation in East Lincoln. This is an entry-level therapy support role in a hospital setting. This position is PRN, requiring 1-2 weekends per month and holiday coverage as available/needed.

Requirements

Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a hospital setting.
Experience in rehabilitation.
Experience with applying hot or cold packs, aligning electrical stimulation electrodes, and massage.

Responsibilities

Provides patient care support to patients and staff.
Greets and directs patients to treatment booths.
Gathers appropriate treatment equipment as indicated on patient treatment records.
Provides assistance or may apply treatment to patients under the direction of the Therapist or Therapist’s Assistant.
Listens to patient concerns, needs, and responses, makes notes on patient treatment records, and relays information to the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.
Removes used or soiled towels, padding, and pillows from treatment rooms and replaces them with clean ones.
Assures treatment rooms are prepared for the next patient.
Maintains supplies by assuring there is an adequate supply of pads, filled gel bottles, and heat packs.
Washes and folds laundry and stacks it on shelves.
Cleans equipment after patient use.
Performs administrative tasks as assigned.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Demonstrates positive rapport with staff members, developing positive employee relations.
Demonstrates sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.
Takes direction and initiates actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
Follows CNRS policies and procedures, including safety processes.
Maintains regular and consistent attendance, which is an essential function of the job.
