About The Position

The Physical Therapy Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing daily operations within the Rehabilitation/Therapy departments, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. This position collaborates closely with Rehabilitation leadership to maintain consistent care standards and optimize patient outcomes. The role involves managing daily operations of rehabilitation services, ensuring compliance with professional, local, state, national, and Joint Commission standards. It also includes providing direct patient care and supervision as needed, assisting with budget development, focusing on productivity, revenue enhancement, and cost control, and ensuring adherence to revenue cycle policies. The supervisor supports staff recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and retention, maintaining optimal staffing levels, and conducting regular meetings for effective communication. Additionally, the role involves implementing quality improvement programs, maintaining equipment functionality and safety, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, developing strategies for task management, and facilitating research. The goal is to drive continuous operational efficiency improvements while emphasizing clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

Active license in state of practice in Physical Therapy
BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
Three years clinical experience in area of specialty (preferred at BSMH, required at RSFH)
Demonstrates appropriate application of age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities and progress.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with co-workers, physicians, patients and families.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
