About The Position

As a Physical Therapy Resident at Ivy Rehab, you will be a full-time employee as you complete the Ivy Rehab and Hospital for Special Surgery Orthopedic Residency Program. You have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of orthopedic patients. Our treatment approach emphasizes personalized care that allows for flexibility in creating individualized plans of care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Active PT licensure in current state of practice, prior to Residency start date
  • Employed as a Full-time Therapist for at least 3 months by Ivy Rehab Network, prior to the program start date.
  • Required membership in associated professional organization by the start of the residency
  • Commitment to successfully completing all program requirements including independent study
  • Commitment to taking the ABPTS Orthopedic Clinical Specialist exam at earliest eligibility
  • Commitment to a minimum of two years of continued employment at Ivy Rehab, post-graduation from program

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required didactic modules (300+ hours)
  • Complete all assessments, logs and forms
  • Complete Live Patient Examinations
  • Satisfactory completion of all skills lists
  • Passing of all required quizzes
  • Satisfactory completion of required presentations
  • Completion of case report abstract
  • Completion of Residency Special Project
  • Completion of 150 mentor hours
  • Complete a minimum of 1,500 patient care hours during residency year
  • Attendance and participation in all scheduled residency education events
  • Satisfactory achievement of all resident core competencies
