About The Position

The newly renovated Avante at Ocala is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide Physical Therapy services to patients by assisting in assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. Functions under supervision of the Physical Therapist.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification for P.T.A.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• 0-3 years of long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation.
• Provide related documentation.
• Provide communication.
• Carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist.
• Document daily care as per established guidelines.
• Effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.
