Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help residents improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current South Carolina PTA license in good standing
  • Must maintain all required continuing education and licensure requirements
  • Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills

  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans according to physician orders and therapy goals
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
  • Document treatments, progress notes, and required clinical information accurately and timely
  • Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Participate in care conferences and team meetings as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
  • Support residents in achieving their highest level of function and independence
