About The Position
Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate, skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The role involves providing treatments under a licensed Physical Therapist’s direction and helping patients with mobility, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities. The PTA observes and documents patient progress, communicates updates to the supervising PT, and helps maintain a safe, clean, supportive treatment environment. The position is PRN, as needed, with a stated schedule of 0800–1630 Monday through Friday; weekends and holidays may also be needed. Requirements
- Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Current PTA license in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Previous rehabilitation or acute care experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with mobility, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities.
- Observe and document patient progress and report updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Help ensure a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace and perform additional duties as needed.
