About The Position
Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their dedicated rehabilitation team. This PRN position is in an acute care setting. The PTA will support therapists in assessing patients, planning treatment programs, preparing treatment schedules, and documenting progress. They will also assist with therapeutic procedures, administer procedures under supervision, and aid in exercise instruction, demonstration, and patient evaluation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- NC Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred.
- ASLS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supports therapist in assessing the condition of patients, planning treatment programs, preparing treatment schedules and keeping records on the progress of treatment.
- Assists with therapeutic procedures or administering procedures under a therapist's supervision.
- Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
