About The Position

Vista Healthcare Sports Spine and Injury Center division is looking to hire a full-time physical therapy assistant (PTA). The PTA will assist physical therapists in developing and executing physical therapy treatment programs and procedures, providing direct patient care service. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
• Current Utah Physical Therapy Assistant License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications for health care providers
• Computer skills to document electronic medical records

Nice To Haves

• Prior Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, or Medical Experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services directly to patients, under the supervision of an onsite physical therapist according to the established plan set forth by the physical therapist.
• Works effectively as a team with the physical therapist and other staff members.
• Discusses and coordinates patient care with the physical therapist.
• Communicates professionally, properly and effectively with patients, family members and staff.
• Educates patients and family members about patient care plans and goals, including patient safety.
• Works effectively and efficiently with the electronic medical record.
• Documents patient visits and reports in a timely manner.
• Helps perform other staff duties to ensure the clinic runs well and is clean
