About The Position
STAT Home Health is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Lafayette, LA. This role offers a unique benefit of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), making employees true owners. The position involves assisting patients with physical therapy needs, providing services within the scope of practice and according to the plan of care, observing and reporting patient responses and condition changes to the PT or RN, and preparing clinical notes for each visit. The PTA will also guide patients in using therapeutic activities to improve function.
Requirements
- Current Louisiana PTA license required
- CPR certification
- 1 year experience as a licensed PTA required
- Excellent customer service and time management skills.
- Reliable transportation to visit patients

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with physical therapy needs
- Provides services within scope of practice and in accordance with plan of care
- Observe/report patient's response to treatment along with any changes in his/her condition to PT or RN
- Prepare clinical and/or progress notes for each visit
- Guide patient in use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activity for the purpose of improving function
