The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will assist the Physical Therapist in planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing physical therapy activities. This role involves facilitating Telehealth services, communicating with other departments, maintaining standards of practice, and ensuring departmental policies are followed. The PTA will interpret physical therapy procedures to staff and residents, participate in care conferences, and assist in instructing residents and families on home programs and adaptive equipment. Accurate documentation and timely billing for services rendered are crucial. The position also involves administrative duties such as completing medical forms and charting, and reporting any concerns to the Director of Rehabilitation or supervising Physical Therapist.
