About The Position

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As two of the region’s most respected providers of orthopedic and upper extremity care, we offer a collaborative, patient-focused environment that prioritizes clinical excellence, innovation, and ongoing professional development. The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is an integral member of the treatment team, responsible for executing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This full-time role involves working Monday through Friday in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program required
  • Current state PTA certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience in an outpatient Physical Therapy clinic or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, and other departments
  • Execute patient care plans in full compliance with state board recommendations and guidelines
  • Respond to patient questions and inquiries to resolve problems and maintain high patient standards
  • Document treatments, patient progress, and other information in the medical record per state practice act
  • Integrate fully as a primary member of the treatment team for assigned caseloads
  • Comply with department policies and procedures, including OSHA and infection control regulations
  • Assist with training Physical Therapy Technicians as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
