Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
Active, unencumbered PTA license in South Carolina (required)
Must maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassion for an underserved population

Nice To Haves

Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care as directed by the Physical Therapist
Carry out treatment plans prescribed by the physician and therapist
Document daily treatments and weekly progress notes
Assist with rehab and patient care conferences
Monitor and report patient progress and changes
Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy programs and post-discharge care
Assist with training of Restorative Aides
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
Report equipment concerns and ensure proper maintenance
