About The Position

Pacific Coast Post-Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Salinas, California. Located in beautiful Monterey County, our facility provides a supportive and collaborative environment where PTAs can grow their skills, work alongside experienced clinicians, and make a meaningful impact on residents' lives. Our rehabilitation program features advanced resources and opportunities to work with a diverse resident population.

Requirements

  • Current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Assist residents in improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques, and strategies to support functional independence.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining a positive and professional approach.
