About The Position
Eddy Visiting Nurse&Rehab Association (EVNRA) has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant responsible to collaborate with a team of Physical Therapists to manage a caseload of patients requiring home-based therapy, primarily post-acute or subacute. This role offers independence, utilizes cutting-edge technology, and prioritizes safety with comprehensive training and necessary protective equipment. The position is on the front-line of healthcare transitions from inpatient settings to the community, reflecting the future of home health care.
Requirements
- NYS PTA Licensure
- Minimum one year of experience working with adult and/or geriatric population as a PTA
Nice To Haves
- Home care experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Promotes/provides physical therapy services in the home to assist the patient in achieving his/her optimal level of functioning.
- Evaluates and treats individuals with functional deficits secondary to neurologic, orthopedic and medical conditions.
- Care for one patient at a time.
- Once trained, enjoy the independence of starting and ending your day from home.
