The role involves providing evidence-based care in an engaging environment, with a commitment to ongoing learning through continuing education and team conferencing. The position utilizes technology such as force plate testing and Tindeq dynamometry to guide decision-making and involves close collaboration with the physical therapy team and physicians for coordinated patient care. New graduates are considered, and a strong mentorship plan is offered. The Physical Therapy Assistant administers necessary physical therapy treatments as determined by the supervising physical therapist to help patients restore function, relieve pain, and prevent further disability. This includes treating patients with injuries or dysfunctions of various body systems, and the assistant may perform these responsibilities individually or by delegating to and overseeing support staff.
