Physical Therapy Assistant - Mount Kisco, NY
About The Position
FOX Rehabilitation is hiring licensed Physical Therapist Assistants to provide hands-on care to older adults in Mount Kisco, NY and surrounding communities. Using FOX’s Geriatric House Calls™ model, PTAs work where patients live, including private homes and senior living communities. In partnership with a supervising Physical Therapist, the PTA delivers individualized treatment plans and guides patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities to support strength, mobility, confidence, and independence. The role offers one-on-one patient care within a supportive, interdisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Fitness Specialists. PTAs receive mentorship and opportunities to develop their clinical skills and career. Full-time, part-time, and PRN/FOX Flex employment pathways are available. Eligible roles may include benefits. The New York standard base pay range is $24.04–$36.06 per hour, with opportunities to earn more.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state(s) of practice, or be eligible to obtain one.
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Have current CPR certification.
- Have basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Meet the physical demands of in-home and community-based care, including lifting 25–50 lbs occasionally, 10–25 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly; performing CPR; assisting with patient transfers and bed mobility, including repositioning a bed-bound patient alone; standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and extensive walking; repetitive upper-extremity movements; driving between care locations; and wearing PPE when required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist, adjusting activities based on patient response and progress.
- Instruct, motivate, and safeguard patients during therapeutic exercises and functional activities, observing and tracking their progress.
- Document visits accurately and on time in FOX’s EMR system according to FOX’s Clinical Documentation standards.
- Stay connected with patients, their POAs, and community referral sources, and help coordinate coverage when needed.
- Provide in-home and senior-living care, including driving to patient homes and senior living communities as part of the Geriatric House Calls™ model.
