About The Position
St. Mary's Regional Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for their Outpatient Clinic serving adults. This PRN position involves working under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver personalized treatment plans that help patients recover, maintain, and improve their physical function. The role requires implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, documenting care, educating patients and caregivers, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, clinical insight, and a passion for patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree Required
- Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
- Physical Therapy Assistant in the State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapy techniques and modalities
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or adjustments to the supervising therapist
- Document care services and patient outcomes with accuracy and clarity
- Educate patients and their caregivers about physical challenges and therapeutic goals
- Support discharge planning, including equipment recommendations and community resource referrals
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient care
