About The Position
Avante at Orlando Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide Physical Therapy services to patients. This role involves assisting in patient assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication, all under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Avante emphasizes providing high-quality care and fostering a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of the National Certification for P.T.A.
- Current state licensure or license eligible.
- 0-3 years of long-term care experience.
- Background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapy services to patients by assisting in the assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.
- Functions under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist.
- Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.
- Ability to effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.
