About The Position

Performs physical therapy programs and treatments as directed by the physical therapist for inpatient and outpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Provides employee and patient educational programs as directed. The role requires patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience when speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel, and others to provide quality customer service.

Requirements

• Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Georgia Board of Physical Therapy, or a Georgia Compact Privilege issued by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two years of licensed clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy programs and treatments as directed by the physical therapist for inpatient and outpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Provide employee and patient educational programs as directed.
• Educate patients and families.
• Speak with and assist patients, families, medical personnel, and others courteously and patiently to provide quality customer service.
