Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Home Health - PRN
About The Position
Arbor Home Health Therapy provides staffing for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy to home health agencies. We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide physical therapy services in the community and AL settings. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and responsible for patient care including scheduling of appointments. They will be timely with documentation of visits and communication with the Clinical Program Manager and therapy team. This role requires comfort entering patient homes in the community, as well as Independent & Assisted Living facilities, and a willingness to commit to following a patient throughout the evaluating therapist's Plan of Care (POC) for routine follow-up visits. The pay rate is a flat, per-visit rate ($35/visit). Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within a 45-mile radius from home is expected.
Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant License
- CPR Certification
- Excellent observation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Basic math skills
- Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel within a 45-mile radius from home
- Maintain current licensure in good standing
- Possess a personal Home Health Kit including thermometer, blood pressure cuff & stethoscope (automated device acceptable), and pulse oximeter.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Therapy Boss, Kinnser, or Home Care Home Base documentation systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services in the community and AL settings.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Complete documentation of visits within 48 hours.
- Communicate with the Clinical Program Manager and therapy team.
- Follow the evaluating therapist's POC for routine follow-up visits.
- Report missed visits and changes in patient condition to the Home Health Clinical Program Manager.
- Review documentation systems daily to correct/resubmit outstanding documentation.
