Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Associate Degree program.
• Active State license or American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certification
• Minimum of 1-2 years full-time as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Current BLS certification
• Life Guard Certification

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in delivering treatment that improves patient mobility, relieves pain, and prevents or reduces physical disabilities
• Perform various tasks related to patient treatment, including assisting with exercises, operating medical equipment, administering massages, and applying traction and ultrasound therapy.
• Record patient responses to treatment and report the outcome of each treatment to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain patient records and assist with supporting documentation.
