About The Position
Aegis Therapies is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their Outpatient rehabilitation team at John Knox Village, a luxury Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Pompano Beach, Florida. This PRN position offers a flexible schedule and focuses on treating active, engaged seniors in a true outpatient setting. The role emphasizes orthopedics, balance, mobility, strength, and fall prevention, allowing therapists to build long-term relationships with patients and practice patient-centered, wellness-based care without high-pressure productivity standards. While John Knox Village offers a full continuum of care, this position is dedicated solely to outpatient services, serving motivated seniors who want to stay strong, mobile, and independent.
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain prior to start
- Interest in outpatient physical therapy and geriatric-focused care
- Passion for helping older adults live active, independent lifestyles
