About The Position

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, develop home exercise programs, and collaborate with various providers to ensure coordinated care. You will be responsible for meeting weekly patient visit quotas and completing all required documentation in a timely manner. This position requires adherence to agency policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations related to home-health pediatric physical therapy.

Requirements

  • A current/active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas.
  • An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
  • Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
  • Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • 3+ years as a pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Experience in a home-health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under Supervising Physical Therapist goals and treatment plans.
  • Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
  • Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  • Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
  • Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
  • Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric physical therapy.
