About The Position
The Pines in Placerville is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their supportive and collaborative rehabilitation team. This role is ideal for a passionate and motivated PTA looking to make a meaningful impact and help residents achieve their highest level of independence. As a Staff PTA, you will work closely with Physical Therapists and Rehabilitation leadership, providing hands-on care, supporting resident recovery, and engaging in clinical documentation. This position offers an opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic skilled nursing setting.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in California
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings
- Familiarity with EHR systems (such as Net Health or PointClickCare)
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy treatments to residents under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Accurately document treatments and resident progress in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care plans, progress updates, and discharge planning
- Educate residents and families on exercises, safety, and fall prevention
- Assist with care conferences and rehabilitation meetings
- Support safe treatment environments and proper equipment use
- Recommend and assist with obtaining adaptive equipment to improve resident mobility and independence
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education as needed
