About The Position
Vista Specialty Hospital Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain mobility and functional abilities. They implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and their families on exercises and therapies. PTAs in LTAC environments often work with patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries who require extended rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
- Current license for Physical Therapist Assistant in state of employment
- Must maintain current Provider BLS/CPR certification throughout employment
- At least 6 months of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities
- Ability to project a professional image
- Rehab Tech Knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance requirements and company policies and procedures
- Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. (order entry, data entry)
- Safety Sensitive-Designated Position
