Physical Therapy Assistant
About The Position
StretchLab is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant interested in deepening their experience in stretch therapy to join their team in a brand-new studio in Blue Bell, PA. This is an opportunity to gain experience in a new modality within the fitness industry. StretchLab is a leader in personalized, one-on-one assisted stretching, utilizing state-of-the-art studios and highly trained professionals. They use proprietary technology and data analytics to create personalized wellness programs aimed at improving client movement, recovery, and lifestyle/performance goals. The team comprises professionals with backgrounds in physical therapy, chiropractic medicine, personal training, yoga, and Pilates. StretchLab’s proprietary flexologist™ training ensures consistent, high-quality client experiences across its nearly 400 locations nationwide.
Requirements
- Love of boutique fitness environment is a must – passion for stretching, mobility, and flexibility
- Professional certification or expertise in any of the following disciplines - Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, Pilates, Dance, or Yoga Instructor
- Experience working in a fitness/wellness environment where you provide hands-on training with a client
- Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people
- Fantastic communication skills and exudes empathy
- Must love connecting with people and have a passion for helping them achieve goals
- Must have a professional work ethic, be reliable and adhere to our attendance policies
- Must be available to go through our Flexologist Training Program, which includes 25 hours of online tutorials and 2 days of in-person/hands-on training, and 20 hours of post-training practical application
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions as well as group stretch classes for up to 6 clients
- Provide high-quality client care and experience
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients in regard to proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab policies and safety rules
- Building your book of business, converting first-time prospects, and retaining members
- Participate in networking/community events and studio promotions
- Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations
- Handle member concerns when applicable
- Caring for the studio - clean and maintain equipment and facility
- Assist sales associates and General Manager with studio tours and sales as needed
- Maintain a strong social media presence to client membership and retention
- Promoting retail products and therapeutics for at-home care and maintenance
