About The Position

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work directly with patients to improve mobility, restore function, and enhance quality of life. If you enjoy hands-on care and being part of a team that helps patients achieve meaningful progress, we'd love to have you join us. The PTA works under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to carry out treatment plans, assist with therapeutic interventions, and monitor patient progress throughout their recovery.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (Associate degree required)
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Montana
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with rehabilitation staff
• Compassionate and patient-focused
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communicator with patients and care teams
• Physically capable of assisting patients safely

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing individualized therapy plans
• Guide patients through exercises and functional activities
• Observe and report patient progress and responses to treatment
• Document care and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and transportation
• Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, heat, and massage
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
