About The Position
Flagstar Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for their Rehab Department in state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) throughout NYC and Surrounding Areas. As a PTA at Flagstar Rehab, you will work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to perform treatments and patient/family education. Your goal will be to improve the physicality and cognition of patients, positively impacting their ability to function in their daily lives. Flagstar Rehab offers the flexibility of Direct Employment with their agency or the option to work as an Independent Contractor, with assistance provided for setting up a corporation free-of-charge.
Requirements
- Current NYS PTA License and Registration
- EMR Competence
- Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility
- Malpractice/Liability Insurance (if applicable)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with PT Supervisor and follow established Plan of Care for all patients.
- Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting, who require care related to TBI, CVA, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnoses.
- Monitor and document patient progress with the use of innovative EMR software.
