About The Position
The Pines in Placerville is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their supportive and collaborative rehabilitation team. This role involves providing hands-on care and supporting resident recovery in a dynamic skilled nursing setting. The position blends direct patient care, collaboration, and clinical documentation, offering opportunities for skill development.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in California (required)
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred
- New grads encouraged to apply!
- Familiarity with EHR systems (such as Net Health or PointClickCare) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy treatments to residents under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Accurately document treatments and resident progress in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care plans, progress updates, and discharge planning
- Educate residents and families on exercises, safety, and fall prevention
- Assist with care conferences and rehabilitation meetings
- Support safe treatment environments and proper equipment use
- Recommend and assist with obtaining adaptive equipment to improve resident mobility and independence
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education as needed
