Physical Therapy Assistant Needed for a Rehab Center in Milton, Massachusetts! Since we are owned and operated by therapists, we understand the unique needs of therapists. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help students recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical function. You will play a vital role in providing quality care and addressing students' mobility goals in a school setting. You must have a valid MA physical therapy assistant license.
Requirements
- Valid MA physical therapy assistant license.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Familiarity with physical therapy practices
- Strong understanding of anatomy to assist in developing appropriate treatment strategies.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred, particularly in skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings.
- Previous experience in schools will be beneficial for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans/goals for patients.
- Monitor student progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate students and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress notes.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes.
