About The Position

As a full time, nonexempt Physical Therapy Assistant with Optum Health Rehabilitation Services team, you will be responsible for administering Physical Therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff Physical Therapist. You will also administer treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff Physical Therapist, after the PT has first evaluated the patient and assisted with restoration of patient functionality to prevent disability following injury, disease of physical disability. You will be helping patients to reach their maximum performance and level of function while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Physical Therapist Assistants participate in operational aspects of the department, maintain performance improvement activities within the department, and participate in CQI. Schedule: This PRN, nonexempt position is scheduled to work as needed in an outpatient setting. Position may float to Inpatient setting as needed About the Facilities: Parrish Medical Center (PMC) is a public, not-for-profit acute care healing hospital with 210 beds located on the Space Coast of Florida. Parrish Health & Wellness Center at Cheney Highway is an outpatient center offering two fitness pools including a lap pool and a warm water pool. Parrish Healthcare Center in Port St. John, is an outpatient facility offering Endocrinology, Family Practice, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Podiatry and Orthopedic Surgery, as well as Urgent Care services. About the Rehabilitation Department: Department core hours are Monday-Sunday from 8:00am-4:300pm and as needed to support acute care hospital rehab staff.
