About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Kyle, Texas. In this role, you will perform comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under the guidance of a Supervising Physical Therapist, developing home exercise programs in partnership with patients' caregivers. You will act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines. Your responsibilities will include meeting a minimum number of patient visits weekly, completing patient chart updates and progress summaries by deadlines, and meeting with agency personnel to ensure understanding of expectations and standards for high-quality patient care. All duties will be performed in compliance with agency policies and procedures, adhering to all applicable rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines, and federal, state, and local laws for home-health pediatric physical therapy.

Requirements

  • A current/active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas.
  • An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
  • Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
  • Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

  • 3+ years as a pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Experience in a home-health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under Supervising Physical Therapist goals and treatment plans.
  • Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
  • Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  • Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
  • Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
  • Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric physical therapy.
