About The Position

Assists therapists with specific physical therapy treatment programs for patients. Physical Therapist Assistant assists in the implementation of treatment programs such as teaching patients to perform exercises and activities of daily living, coordinating treatments using special equipment, and or a variety of modalities such heat, cold, massage, hydrotherapy, or electrotherapy, and reporting/recording the patient's progress. Receives direction from: Physical Therapists.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistants Program
• State License as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards, and techniques of Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of how to use and maintain physical therapy equipment.
• Knowledge of safety requirements.
• Strong communication and math skills.
• Keyboarding and computer skills.
• Able to identify and recommend problem resolution.
• Criminal background check
• Drug Screening
• Health and Immunizations Screening
