About The Position

Assists in delivering high-quality physical therapy treatments and performing therapeutic procedures in collaboration with the supervising physical therapist. In accordance with state laws and regulations, supports the development of treatment plans, documents patient progress, and adjusts specific interventions within the established plan of care. Maintains strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures, to ensure patient privacy, safety, and optimal outcomes. May also serve as a clinical instructor, supporting the education and development of assigned students.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
  • Registered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Auto Insurance (Department Specific for SCAH).
  • Valid Driver's License (DL) (Department Specific for SCAH).
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work within scope of practice.
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a demanding work environment.
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and complete work duties within expected timelines and requirements.
