About The Position

This position assists in providing physical therapy treatments and performing procedures. The incumbent may, in accordance with State laws and regulations, assist in the development of treatment plans, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments within the scope of the plan of care established by the supervising physical therapist. Adherence to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures is required to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. The role may also involve serving as a clinical instructor for assigned students.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Registered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) certification.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification.
• Auto Insurance (Department - SCAH).
• Valid Driver's License (DL) (Department - SCAH).
• 1 year of recent relevant experience.
• Critical thinking and problem solving, decisive judgement and ability to work within scope of practice.
• Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.
• Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
• Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.
• Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.
• Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
