About The Position
Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Rehabilitation Services | Island Health Location: Anacortes, WA Schedule: 1 FTE | Days Hourly Range: $26.33 – $39.50 per hour For information on Employee Benefits , visit our careers page. As a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality therapy services to patients from infancy through adulthood.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by the Washington State Department of Health
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical skills within the Physical Therapy Assistant scope of practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
- Strong documentation and time-management skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients from infancy through adulthood following established plans of care
- Apply principles of growth and development to deliver age-appropriate treatment
- Perform prescribed therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional activities
- Use clinical judgment to monitor patient response to treatment and identify when Physical Therapist consultation is needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Document patient treatments and progress after each session in accordance with established standards
