About The Position

Join a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional patient care while gaining healthcare skills and direct exposure to physical therapy. The Physical Therapy Aide works alongside Physical and Occupational Therapy professionals to support patients’ recovery and receives hands-on training and mentorship. The role includes welcoming and assisting patients, supporting intake and scheduling, preparing treatment areas and exercise equipment, and helping patients with exercises and prescribed home exercise programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience, such as work as a Physical Therapist Aide or Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employee, chiropractic professional, or fitness industry employee; PT or PTA students are also noted.
• Certified Personal Trainer experience.
• Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact warmly with patients by phone and in person during check-in and throughout appointments.
• Promote efficient patient intake and registration, and assist clinicians with timely scheduling.
• Onboard new patients by reviewing relevant paperwork, verifying benefits, and completing medical forms.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and set up and adjust exercise equipment for Physical Therapists.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
• Assist patients with exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.
