About The Position
Mobility Bone & Joint Institute Physical Therapy, a division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance, is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to join our team at our outpatient physical therapy clinic in Salem, NH. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy, athletic training, sports medicine, or a related healthcare field. The position provides valuable hands-on experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting while working alongside experienced physical therapists and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Strong interest in physical therapy, athletic training, sports medicine, or healthcare
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred
- Familiarity with anatomy and physiology is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and patient service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Previous healthcare or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists with patient care and treatment activities
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient therapy sessions
- Clean, organize, and maintain therapy equipment and supplies
- Escort patients to and from treatment areas as needed
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and promptly communicate any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients
- Perform administrative and front-desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining patient records
- Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate service to patients
- Follow established protocols and instructions while working collaboratively with the physical therapy team
