About The Position

The Physical Therapy Aide will greet patients upon arrival and directing them to the treating therapist, register and schedule patients, clean and organize the work area, and disinfect equipment after treatment. They will also maintain equipment and furniture to keep in good working condition, including performing the assembly and disassembly of equipment and accessories. The aide will anticipate the needs of patients and therapists to ensure clinic efficiency, communicate effectively with patients and therapy staff, and perform other clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering the telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms.

Requirements

Work requires level of knowledge of basic patient care, procedures for caring for equipment and assisting Therapist with treatment programs.
Generally acquired through on-the-job training requiring six (6)weeks orientation.
Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, visitors, families, Physicians, peers and other healthcare professionals.
