About The Position
PTSMC is looking for a dedicated and dependable Part-Time Physical Therapy Aide to join their team in New Haven, CT on Lock Street. This role offers hands-on experience in a clinical environment, assisting physical therapists with patient care and maintaining a clean and efficient clinic. The ideal candidate has an interest in health and wellness, physical therapy, or exercise science.
Requirements
- Available to work afternoon shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with occasional Saturday morning availability.
- Must be available year-round with flexibility to work during clinic hours
Nice To Haves
- Background in exercise science or related field
- Previous experience as a physical therapy aide is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support clinical staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized therapy space
- Greet patients warmly and professionally
- Observe patients during treatment sessions and communicate relevant feedback to the clinical team
- Clean and sanitize treatment tables, equipment, and common surfaces
- Monitor and restock supplies as needed
- Perform light physical tasks including standing, squatting, bending, and walking throughout the day
- Assist with front desk tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing payments
