About The Position

A modern outpatient orthopedic clinic in Independence, MO is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join its clinical team. This role focuses on providing care for patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, with a patient population ranging from adolescents to older adults. This opportunity offers a competitive salary, flexible schedule options, and a team-based clinical environment with 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants. Documentation is completed through WebPT.

Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
New graduates are welcome to apply
Outpatient orthopedic experience is helpful, but not required
Strong clinical reasoning and patient education skills
Ability to work professionally with patients across a wide age range

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and identify movement limitations, pain concerns, strength deficits, balance issues, and functional goals
Create treatment plans that support recovery, mobility, strength, and return to daily activity
Provide skilled physical therapy treatment, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, mobility work, and functional movement training
Teach patients home exercise programs and safe progression strategies
Track patient response and revise plans of care as needed
Document evaluations, visits, progress notes, and discharge plans in WebPT
Coordinate with PTAs to support continuity of care
Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and referral sources
