About The Position

An exempt position responsible for helping patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. Patients may have conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling.

Requirements

Must have a valid SC Physical Therapy license.
Must have a valid SC Driver's license.
Must have a valid CPR certification.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Must have at least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
Experience with electronic medical records.
Experience with pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

Supervising, monitoring and directing physical therapy assistants (PTAs).
Assessing patients and developing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians.
Initiating and following through on regular communication with Optim staff and management.
Assisting patients to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.
Helping patients to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning ability and to compensate for any permanent loss of function to reach the goal of having independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
Helping patients in performing a variety of daily activities including occupational and leisure tasks.
Utilizing all standard physical therapy and modalities available to achieve the best outcomes for the patient.
Teaching patients comprehensive home exercise programs to enhance clinical treatments.
Following Optim therapy practice policies related to compliance, safety, and infection control.
Documenting patient treatment and outcomes in medical record.
Performing necessary tasks as needed and assigned to ensure clinic and department compliance and satisfactory patient care.
