Requirements

• Master’s Degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Current Illinois Physical Therapist license, or candidate with an approval letter from Continental Testing Services, Inc. for PT licensure examination, in accordance with the Illinois Physical Therapy Act requirements
• CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation, screening, develops a plan of care, and provides direct patient care.
• Independently develop and implement a physical therapy treatment program utilizing judgment to modify plan of care with a patients changing medical conditions.
• Conducts educational in-service on benefits of Physical Therapy to patients/families, other disciplines (hospital staff), and to the community.
• Non-patient related duties includes, but is not limited to, assisting in clerical duties of the department, posting charges, and light housekeeping duties within the Rehabilitation Department.
• Works under the general and direct supervision of the director and manager of the rehabilitation services department.
