About The Position

The Physical Therapist delivers high-quality therapy services to patients while fostering positive relationships with facilities and clients, in accordance with Reliant Rehabilitation standards and physical therapy best practices. The role includes patient screening and evaluation, development and implementation of treatment plans, discharge planning, supervision of PTAs and Rehab Techs, and case management. The therapist maintains professional conduct and complies with applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy. The position focuses on maximizing patient function and independence through direct and supervised therapy, providing clinical oversight and consultation to PTAs, and supervising PTAs and Rehab Techs during individual and group treatments. The therapist also helps establish and grow a physical therapy program and advances clinical and leadership skills through collaboration, self-study, and continuing education. Full-time and PRN positions are available.

Requirements

Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program.
Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Maximize patient function and independence through direct and supervised physical therapy.
Provide clinical oversight and consultation to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
Supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs during individual and group treatments, ensuring efficient resource use and skill development.
Establish and grow a robust physical therapy program.
Advance clinical and leadership skills through collaboration, self-study, and continuing education.
Maintain a valid state license and stay informed on industry trends and healthcare regulations.
Understand billing models and deliver care aligned with treatment guidelines and expected outcomes.
Adhere to infection control and environmental safety protocols.
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Maintain confidentiality as appropriate and comply with the state practice act in the state(s) where licensed.
Screen and evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, plan discharges, and provide case management.
