About The Position

Austill's Educational Therapy Services, a leading provider of school-based related services in southeastern PA, is seeking a pediatric physical therapist for the ESY/summer session. The role involves working with school-age students in a specialized school setting in Philadelphia-Overbrook. The program dates are from July 6th to August 6th, with orientation on June 30th. Therapists will work Monday through Thursday, with block billing for 6.25 hours each day. Opportunities for the 26-27 school year are also available. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy educational program.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license
  • Passion for working with children and a clear dedication to helping them maximize their potential
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional desire to be a collaborative team member, learn, and grow
  • A thorough background check will be conducted.
  • All clearances must be completed within one year of the start date unless otherwise indicated.

Responsibilities

  • Direct therapy with students in preschool to grade 12
  • Consultation with teachers, other therapists, support staff, and families to facilitate classroom mobility and participation.
  • Documentation requirements include data collection, marking period progress updates, and yearly IEP revisions, including updated goals and treatment strategies.
  • Attendance at IEP meetings is recommended.
  • Some travel may be required throughout the school day
