About The Position

Delivers one-on-one, evidence-based care to military personnel, including evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services within Magellan Federal programs. Provides therapeutic interventions, education, injury prevention support, and collaboration on readiness initiatives while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and documentation requirements. Supports duty limitation recommendations and provides non-identifiable injury trend insights to leadership.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Possesses a current, active, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • 2+ years of post-licensure experience as a Physical Therapist in a high-performance environment.
  • Meets and maintains all applicable Military Treatment Facility (MTF) credentialing and privileging requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in dynamic environments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support mission-focused care.
  • Demonstrates experience in designing and implementing physical therapy programs and treatment plans for individuals and groups.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Proficiently utilizes computers, software, and technology to document work performed, utilization, and other information requirements.
  • AED - Automated External Defibrillator Certification - Care Mgmt
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - Care Mgmt
  • CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification - Care Mgmt
  • PT - Physical Therapist
  • State Licensure - Care Mgmt

Responsibilities

  • Assesses and diagnoses musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, then develops individualized rehabilitation plans to restore function and readiness. Provides evidence-based treatments such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training.
  • Designs and delivers programs focused on injury prevention, strength, mobility, and overall physical readiness for mission demands. Integrates physical therapy within the broader Human Performance framework.
  • Maintains accurate medical records and ensures compliance with military regulations, clinical standards, and privacy requirements.
  • Educates Service Members and leadership on injury management, recovery strategies, and physical health practices.
  • Collaborates with physicians, strength and conditioning specialists, and other healthcare providers to support holistic care and mission readiness.
