About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation at Centennial Frisco is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care position. This full-time role involves providing physical therapy services primarily for orthopedic and spine populations. The position requires a high level of critical thinking and interpersonal skills to ensure an exceptional patient experience. The therapist will evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and delegate therapy services. They will also be responsible for designing functional treatment programs for patients' return to community activities and will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues. Other professional duties related to patient care and program development are also included.

Requirements

Acute Care and orthopedic experience required
Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
