About The Position

Shriners Children's is seeking a Physical Therapist to join their Rehab team. This role involves the evaluation and treatment of both inpatients and outpatients, ranging from infants to adolescents. The Physical Therapist will interact with families and children in an age-appropriate manner, fostering a family-centered care environment. Additionally, this position may involve supervisory responsibilities for physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational/child life therapists, rehabilitation aides, students, and volunteers as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensed in state of practice

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.
Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.
Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.
Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.
Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.
