About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children’s Minnesota is one system serving kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, nine primary care clinics, multiple specialty clinics and seven rehabilitation sites. The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services department has locations on the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. They provide comprehensive evaluation and rehabilitation management services relating to congenital or acquired conditions that may lead to physical cognitive impairment. Patients receive help to achieve or regain functional potential in areas such as mobility, communication, and self-care. All care is coordinated with the patients primary care provider.

Requirements

Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program
Minnesota state licensure
Temporary Minnesota state licensure accepted if accompanied by proof of passing physical therapy board examination
BLS certification

Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation and provision of physical therapy services to children
Accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders
Provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training
Provide a safe, clean environment
Provides proper care for departmental equipment
Manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction
All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior.
